No Audio Device

I have speakers connected to my new computer, they wont playa single thing,
music xp sounds, nothing. When I go into sound properties it says no audio
device BUT THERE IS! I have a hunch it is a codec problem, please help!
 
No audio device might suggests that the drivers for the audio device are not
loading.
Check in hardware devices for the yellow exclamation marks, remove the
devices and reboot
