Hi,
I have an ASUSP4S333 motherboard with a sound card on board.
I used to have win2k and had no problems with the audio.
I have recently formatted my hard disk and installed win xp SR1. From
that point I have no audio. The control panel//Sounds and Audio Devices
says that I have no audio device (needless to state that I haven't
changed any hardware...).
Any idea how to solve the problem?

Thanks,
Steph.

Don't expect Windows XP to re-install the sound drivers.
Re-install them from the utility cdrom that came with the
motherboard or download the current driver set from ASUS.

Will try. Thanks.
