Am trying to use Outlook 2003 for the first time after using Opera for years.
I have MS Office 2003 with all the modules. They are fine. But Outlook
refuses to behave. Have uninstalled and re-installed MS Office 2003 twice.
Can set up all the email POP and SMTP servers, etc, but when I click
Send/Receive Outlook insists
'You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation'
The Outlook.pst file has no read-only restriction. I am certain the POP/SMTP
setting are accurate. All other modules in the MS Office suite run fine.
I recently installed ewido security (this was apparently not a good idea) to
test it out and I noticed it installed a file called WinAspi from, not
Micorsoft but Mircostaff...isn't that the back door company making spyware?
Don't know whether to blame that file, but I do know Outlook refuses to
install properly and run. My existing Opera runs just fine. Any suggestions?
