"No Answer Response"

I am also trying to set up FAX to send but in Outlook
2000. I get "No Answer" alomost immediately even though I
have cheked the "Wait for Dial tone" setting. The mosem
has not even had a chance to dial before I get this
message.
 
No one could help without knowing which fax software you are using with what
mail support mode of Outlook.
 
Right, sorry about that. here are details:
I have installed Win200 CW, outlook 2000 (from Office 2000
CD). I have also completed the fax set up per
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/services/win2000fax.htm.

When sending a fax from outlook mail or application
FILE|PRINT|FAX PRINTER, all the preparation and address
entry works as advertisd. When I am ready to send the
outgoing dialog box appears showing the dialing activity
and within a second of connecting to the phone line, NO
ANSWER results. I should be able to at least hear the
modem dial the cancel call waiting sequence as well as the
destination phone number but I don't. Need more info?
