No Animation of Images in IE6 on WindowsXP SP2

naijai

I am receiving content fine except that I see no
animation, including images I made and uploaded to the
internet. Animation is visible in my image program and
other people have confirmed for me that certain images
are animated.

I've tried emptying my internet cache and settings.
Nothing seems to make any difference. I can't locate any
informaton on this specifically. Is there any information
on this?

Try the following and see if it helps:

Update your video card, which you can do from your video card mfg. website.
Often this can contribute to the problem. Once the video drivers are
loaded, the refresh rate may be increased.

It may be related to the JavaScript, which affects certain WebPages. You
may want to think about getting the Sun Java, which can work as well as the
MS Java, and co-exists on your system very well.

There is good information concerning all aspects of the Java situation here:

Be aware, however, that after Dec 31, 2007, MS will apparently no longer be
distributing Java or providing any support for Java including security
fixes. See here:

You can get the Sun Java J2SE RunTimes or SDK here:
http://java.sun.com/downloads/index.html
(all versions - select using the dropdown)

Sun version here

Sun also offers an automatic download and install of the 1.4 Java plug-in
here:
http://java.sun.com/getjava/download.html

There is a FAQ about the SWF plugin there.
