nntp news server

where do i configure the nntp news server in win2k ... its installed,
but there isnt an entry for it in iis manager

i get this error which may be the cause but not sure where to go from
here:-

Has the NNTP service started or is it starting...? Have you Exchange 2000 installed?

yes, the service is started - i can stop and restart it and get the same
error ... and yes, exchange server 2k enterprise is installed and
working fine
 
Then in the Exchange System Manager is where you need to fix the virtual directory for the NNTP service. Make sure the folder has the necessary NTFS permissions. If this advice is not helpful (I understand) as in the Exchange2000 newsgroup. NNTP issues are difficult to get feedback on because well Microsoft's NNTP servers on Windows 2000 have about a big FAT 0 of support. Good luck.
