We recently deployed the 4.9 client not knowing that NMAS was installed
by default.
Is there a way to automate the uninstall???
I found this in the Novell client forums:
To add to Arons' copied post below, Users will still have to click yes
to an uninstall prompt. If you have a copy of InstallShield you could
modify it so that users won't be prompted, or if you have ZENworks for
Desktops you could try packaging an uninstall by capturing all changes
using snapshot.

To uninstall NMAS:
First run clientsetup.exe and while it's waiting for you to agree to
the
License Agreement, stealthily gather up all of the installation files
that
have been exploded into \Documents and Settings\<whoeveryouare>\Local
Settings\Temp\pftx~tmp\Disk1. Copy the contents of the Disk1 folder
to
somewhere else and then cancel the NMAS installation.
Next, from a DOS prompt, while in the directory to which you copied
the
contents of the Disk1 folder, you can now execute:
"setup.exe -uninst"
My plan is to copy all of the necessary files up to a network
directory and
create a run-once ZEN app to remove NMAS from all workstations
automatically. I expect that the number of angry users queued up
outside my
office will decline shortly thereafter.
