Hi all,
Microsoft : " Windows 2000 Network Load Balancing (NLB) does not provide
failover at the service, program, or port level because NLB is aTCP/IP load
balancer and is not designed to detect when a program or service is not
working correctly"
Microsoft suggest to use some third party tools to improve this.
a.. SiteScope by Freshwater Software (http://www.freshtech.com)
a.. AppManager by NetIQ (http://www.netiq.com)
a.. WhatsUp Gold by Ipswitch (http://www.ipswitch.com)
My question is : Do someone have to monitor the port 80 HTTP an according to
it shut down the NLB? I mean the cheap way....
I'll appreciate scripts , ideas etc.
Thanks in advance
