I've got NIS 2004 and it seems the personal firewalls aren't allowing
sharing of files and printers. When I disable the firewalls it works fine.
It's supposed to configure automatically I think but alas, it's not. Would
like to figure out how to do so manually.
Thanks,
Drew

Open NIS. Go to Personal Firewall | Configure | Networking | Add | Type in
the other computer's IP address | Also make sure on the other computer in
the properties of any shared folders that "Allow Network users to change my
files" is checked.

Hope this fixes it. If not let me know.

Thanks, that did it. I thought it would do it automatically but it didn't
and the wizard wasn't any help either.
thanks,
