Nintendo Wi-fi USB connector problem- Cannot connect to the internet

I recently purchased a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector so my son can play
Nintendo DS online.

So much for the simple set up it states it has. I have tried all
weekend to get it working but I am not the sharpest tools in the shed
when it comes to computers.

Our problem:

We go through the installation steps and when it tells us to put the
USB in the USB port it, we put it in then it continues going through
the installation but then comes up with the error message "You are not
connected to the internet", we clearly are because we have broadband
and I am on the internet all the time.

It says to turn off your firewall so I turned it off in Control
Panel>Windows Firewall but we still have this problem. I also have
Norton Anti-virus so maybe I have to allow it in or something like
that. I am really not sure.

Our network is compatible with this device by the way.

Another problem may be this, when I put my curser over the Bigpond
Broadband cable login it says that a connection to the internet cannot
be made, but I can go on the internet. So maybe the computer thinks I
am not connected but I actually am.

if u have zonealarm then thats bad because i tried with it and it just gave
me a bad day i always turn my off
