Hello

I have just got a new LS 50.I am using Nikon Scan 4.01
It works fine, but there seems to be a problem with the ROC module.
It seems that it is either on or off. Mid positions seem to make very
little difference. Has anyone else noticed that.

If I remember there was no problem with my old LS 40.

Can't speak for the LS-40, although I would assume it is similar in this
respect to the LS-4000, which has always functioned as you describe -
even with NS3. ROC comes in very fierce with little difference between
the minimum and maximum setting thereafter. Rarely needed in any case
and I don't know why Nikon set it on by default.

Hello

Thanks. I never really used it, but was always under the impression that
it was more progressive than it is. The new Shadow control is useful,
but I already have it in Photoshop CS.
