Hello Everyone:
I have an LS-8000 (which I bought just before the 9000 became
available). A lot of the medium format images I shoot have a wide
contrast range which the 8000 seems to have some difficulty scanning
accurately. The manual even goes so far as to suggest that high
contrast images not be used; this is not a very practical solution. The
LS-9000 then comes out with a "New Feature," the ability to scan
underexposed images using DEE in the Digital ICE section of NikonScan.
Has anyone used this feature? Is it worth an upgrade? I have a lot of
images that could benefit from such a feature and "fixing" it in
Photoshop works... to a point.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
