Does anyone know of someone who does repair work on the older Nikon
LS-2000 scanner? (e-mail address removed)

In Inner Mongolia, I presume?

Ralf

I do, and have been doing so for several years. I list LS-2000 repair
on E-Bay from time to time (my current listing ended today, I will be
relisting, but purchase through E-Bay is not required, just contact me
by E-Mail).

See:

It's worth noting that Nikon DOES NOT still repair these. If you send
one to Nikon, it will be returned, and you will be out 2 to 6 weeks plus
the cost of shipping (both ways).

Sorry; US only, and I will not accept units for repair unless the return
address is a US address. But I will give consultation & advice (free)
to those living outside the US.

Haha! Yes, the header of his posting reveals that he is Dutch, the
providers name ending with .nl but he should have mentioned it
himself, of course. :-)

It seems to me I heard somewhere that Barry Watzman wrote in article

Do you work on other brands as well? A while back I bought a used
Minolta Dimage Scan Dual IV for an archiving project, and I suppose it
would be a good idea to at least have it checked over, cleaned, and if
necessary adjusted before I begin scanning my slides.

I'd appreciate your advice and a ballpark estimate of the cost if I
decide to pursue this.

I was glad to come across your message, since I didn't have a clue
about the possibility of having this kind of work done.

I do not work on other brands; I don't even work on all models of Nikon.

I repair those (Nikon LS-30 and LS-2000 scanners). Have been doing so
for years, done hundreds of them, advertise on E-Bay but it's ok to
contact me directly also.

Hi there - did anyone find a Nikon scanner repairer in the UK. The JPCameras link above does not seem to work anymore.

I'm looking to get both an LS-30 and LS-2000 repaired/checked over and am based just North of London.

Thanks!

Will
