I can't get my computer and camera to sync, when they used to be able to.
Over the holidays I tried to load software and sync a Canon (never got it to
work). Since then I can't get my Nikon to sync. Tried uninstall, no luck.
Something is going on with the driver. I get the following message when I
connect:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous
instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)

I tried uninstalling but can't seem to fix this. Any solutions?

Merely uninstalling the software is unlikely to solve such a problem.
You may need to delete the device driver using the hardware manager.
Then you may need to delete the driver file from wherever it resides if it
still exists.
Then you can reboot to wipe out the driver.

Frankly, with two types of cameras, I would just get a card reader.
