I had something peculiar happen earlier this evening, and now can't
remember what it was, but I decided to run Ad-Aware.
When I came back into the office, I deleted bugs, cleaned up the disk,
then for some unknown reason decided to see if temp folders were really
empty. Under /windows/temp I found 550 log files, all of which contain
this message:
"Error 1706. An installation package for the product TrayApp cannot be
found. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation
package 'TrayApp.msi'.
=== Logging stopped: 02/09/2008 22:27:22 ==="
Whatever this is is running over and over and producing a new log file
at the rate of 2 a minute. I have no idea what TrayApp is, and I have no
intention of installing it if I do not know what it is or why!!!
I have no idea what this is, and now vaguely remember I deleted 1800 of
these buggers a couple of days ago. Looking into the folder, this thing
has created 68 files in less than 20 minutes, all saying the same thing
(checked at random)
Please help or I may kill myself. I'd shoot the computer, but its more
valuable than I am.
