It's a compiled help file (CHM) and has tons of nice tweaks, tips, and
tricks. No install, just click and go.

Thanks, nice - but...the file you point to says version 1.4 and the
chm file is 9.52MB. A version 2.0, chm file size 5.16MB - can be
downloaded from what seems to be the original source site
<http://windowsxp.homedns.org/xp/>. Download comes in form of a msi
file (5.45MB), so installation required.

Btw: The right side menu on above page did not show in Opera, had to
use IE to access the site. So - here is a direct link to the download
page <http://windowsxp.homedns.org/xp/asp/twg/twg.asp>
and the download link:
<http://www.ntfs.org/users/avdhorst/xp-tweaks.msi>

From the about page:
<qoute>
"WindowsXP.homedns.org was started by Lex van der Horst May 2003
inspired by the "The Tweaking Experience" formerly know as the
Windows XP Tweaking Guide. After a few months of developing "The
Tweaking Experience" went to live on July 18 2003"

Excerpt from the installed licence.txt:

Thanks Bjorn. Got it!

The installed file is still a stand-alone CHM file of only 5.XX MB. . :)

Sounds interesting, Bob, but what is this .chm file that immediately wants
to download? Not familiar with that one...

Thanks!!! e.t.

A small tip on reading CHMs.

1. On any page in the CHM which you might have extra interest in, right-click.
2. Choose "Properties" from the pop-up context menu.
3. In the Properties box, select and copy the URL.
4. Paste that URL into Explorer's addressbar. "mk:@MSITStore:[...].htm"
5. Now you have access to "Save As," "Find in Page", etc.

Hi Karen, nice tip - didn't know that one. It seems this only works
with some help files, including windows own, but not others - like the
one mentioned in this thread. I guess this feature depends on if the
author and/or his help compiler included and/or allowed for this
option, don't know.

It's a nice tips, tweaks. and links list in CHM (compiled help file)
format. Get it, you won't regret it. :)

Hi, Bjorn. I didn't know about that. The only issue in my experience had
been if you wanted pics in your SaveAs. There were two files mentioned in
this thread. Which one should I download? I'm curious to explore the
limitation.

FWIW, the author of The Tweaking Experience help file has disabled the
right-click context menu and tried to protect the text from being
copied by adding a few attributes to the <body> tag on each page:

<BODY oncontextmenu="return false" onselectstart="return true"
ondragstart="return false">

Makes sense, thanks for the info.
