NIC Power Management

I am trying to wake up computers on our network and it is working on a
majority of the computers. There are about 200 that do not wake up and I
have found that they do not have the NIC property set to allow the device to
take the computer out of standby mode. I can do this at the computer itself
but need to do it through SMS. I have found that I can use powercfg.exe to
set that option using the /enabledevicewake parameter. and it works fine
BUT it only lasts until the computer is rebooted.
Is there some way to make the change permanent . I have tried
unsuccessfully to set the PNPcapabilites key for the card in the registry.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

This is out of my league, but if the NIC is built into the motherboard,
couldn't you set the wake-up parameters though the BIOS?...sorry if this
doesn't help.

The bios is already set correctly, it is a windows xp power management
setting in the device management that overrides it. Thanks for you help
though.
