Houston...we have a problem...................

I crank everything up in NFSU and I only get about 10fps, sometimes less!

I formatted my pc, a clean install of WinXP Pro SP1 and installed all the
neccesary VIA drivers etc, I normally use the Omega drivers so I went ahead
and installed the latest Omegas, all other games are running fine, but NFSU
is like a slide show!!

I understand that NFSU is a true DX9 game, so what exactly is the problem?
I've removed the Omegas and install Catalyst 7,8 and 9 all give me the same
problems :-(

Has anyone else experienced this?

True DX9 is a big word, it uses allot of DX8 stuff, but a number of
effects are indeed DX9.

I see the problem is already solved, good... but the TRUE DX9 games
wich really use highly extensive of DX9 will come... later....

Are there any 100% DX9 game demos available at the moment?

Damn, the problem has come back :-(

It seems I can install a new driver and everything will play fine, but if I
restart the PC it all goes tits up.
I'm currently getting 7fps on the demo, last night I was getting 50fps, why
are ATI so bad at doing drivers???, or is it just me?

I have the full version of Underground and it runs great on my 9800 Pro. I
just did a re-install of Windows XP SP1 with all of the latest drivers for
my hardware a week before Christmas, including the Catalyst 3.10's. I have
an Intel 2.8GHz Northwood C processor and Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 Pro
motherboard. Hope you get this problem resolved.

The good news is that I know there are many people out there (such as
yourself) who aren't having this problem, so I know the hardware is fine,
it's just a matter of me getting to grips with ATI drivers ironing out any
issues.

I'll go back to the Official 3.10 and work from there.

No game demos.....

Shadermark and alike .. that are small benchmark programs!
