Can you change the default newsreader in vista?

Sure, you can install a different newsreader if you like. Many people use
Thunderbird and Forte's Agent is considered very good also.

Why did you spend the money to upgrade?

Upgrade from Agent 4.2 to 5.0? One of the main reasons was because it
cost me very little ($15).

Was it worth upgrading? The differences are fairly small (at least
with respect to the features I use), but I like the new version and
its new features. Is it worth $15? It's hard for me to answer that,
other than to say that the cost was so small that I hardly care what
the answer is.

I didn't commit by giving them the early $5 so it will cost me $20. I
don't see anything breathtaking in their description.

Heck... I'd probably still be happy with Free Agent.

Your choice, of course. I was happy with Agent 4.2, but I'm happier
with the slight improvements in 5.0. Again, slight as the improvements
are, to me they are worth the $15 they cost me.

I'll probably do it. I've been using it since beta .9 and can't pass
up most upgrades. As for Acronis True Image 2009 - I will probably
pass, but Newegg has it with a $20 mail-in rebate... hmm.
