Newsreader refuses to read news.

Using Outlook 2002 (SP-3) to access the Outlook Newsreader.

Worked perfectly fine until about 4 days ago.
Since then, for every message I try to read, the following
error and explanation is returned:

"Message is no longer available on the server."

"Outlook Express is unable to retrieve the requested
message because the server no longer has the message
available."

I KNOW the messages are there, because I can see them
perfectly well if I go directly to the site using IE.

'tis truly a mystery to me... and quite annoying at that!

Any Ideas?

reset the newsgroup (r-click on the folder and choose properties, look on
the last tab). There are problems with the newsgroups due to the removal of
the swen virus and the newsgroups are messaged up as a result.

Wow... THAT's bizzare!
Did exactly that 2 days ago and didn't solve the problem...
....but I tried it again and... like MAGIC... it's working
again.

Thanks for the help.
