I tried to upload a file to a binaries group and Outlook sent a error
message saying the file was to large. Ok cool, but now every time I start
outlook newsreader it still tries to send the file. I can click it and
cancel but it tries again next time I start. Any way to stop Outlook from
trying to send this file every time?

rename outbox.dbx to outbox.old when the newsreader is closed

Thanks for your reply Roady, but it didn't work. Perhaps I should have
mentioned I'm using Outlook 2003. Any other ideas?

if the error is in the newsreader, deleting the outbox.dbx file will work.

I really appreciate all the help but it doesn't seem to be solving the
problem. I renamed outbox.dbx in the registry. I even searched the registry
for the file I was trying to send and deleted it. But every time I start
Outlook Newsreader it still tries to send the file.

Where did I told you to go into the registry? Delete the file on your
harddisk!

I searched the hard disk for the file first and it doesn't exist. The only
place I can find it is in the registry. There are no "outbox' or "dbx" files
found by searching the hard disk.

AFAIK, outbox.dbx is only used in Outlook Express!

I think that Outlook stores everything in the .pst file

Try this instead:

Start - Settings - Control Panel - E-Mail*

Select your email account

Select the General Tab and untack the "Include this account when receiving
main or synchronizing"

Save changes by clicking OK

Now you can start Outlook and it will not send or receive any emails for
this account and you can select the OutBox folder and delete the mail

Hope this will help!
