Newsletter Email to list held in Access

Can anyone help me to set up Outlook so that I can send a newsletter out to 1000 customer regularly. I wish to create a newsletter template and have it appear in the email rather than as an attachment. I then want to send different versions of it to email addresses stored in an Access 97 database. Eg: cereal farmers get one version, horticulture farmers another. I need to set it up so that my staff can do this quite easily. Thanks in anticipation of someones help
 
The most straightforward solution is to use the Access table as the data
source for a mail merge in Word with email as the output format.
