Newsgroups

I cannot log on to comcast newsgroup.I do all the proper steps by adding a
newsgroup account with the proper server name, user name and password.
A window pops up repeatedly asking me to enter my username and password
Consequently I cannot go any further.
Can anyone help?
 
To find out how to access Comcast newsgroups, ask Comcast..

under the SERVER tab of account settings make sure you have the first check box for LOGON checked and the proper name/password in the boxes.
and the next box for secure logon is UNCHECKED.
