Are the newsgroups being disbanded ? In my Windows Mail I "Reset List" and
about 80% of the newsgroups disappeared.

For example, where do I go to get Excel questions answered ?

I'm not sure the C# newsgroup is the best place to ask that question.

Have you tried with a different NNTP server?

The expectation is that some NNTP servers will continue
to carry the groups after MS dumps NNTP.

Yes, but they'll no longer be moderated and will therefore become so overrun
with spam and porn as to be (almost) unusable - it's already started...
