Using the "help" guide in adding newsgroup does not work. Somehow there is no icon "news" under "Go" in the add procedures. Any suggestion in getting newsgroups added to the "GO" button?

It's a known issue in Outlook 2003. Try the following -- it seems to work
for many:

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, click the "Don't ask me again" box and then click the No button.

You may need to reset the Menu Bar and/or restart Outlook and/or reboot your
machine in order to complete the process. Not everyone is reporting success
with this method, but try it and see what happens. If all else fails, you
can always create a desktop shortcut to Outlook Express and include the
/newsonly switch -- that gives you the same result as accessing the
newsreader via the News command in Outlook.

Below are the steps I did to add the News item to the Go menu on the toolbar
of my Outlook 2003.

1. right click on an empty space of the toolbar and select Customize...
2. on the Customize dialog, click the Rearrange Commands... button
of the Commands tab
3. when the Rearrange Commnads dialog is displayed, do as follows:
a) select the Go item from the drop-down Menu Bar listbox
b) click the Add button
c) when the Add Command dialog is displayed, do as follows:
- select the Go item from Categories list
- select the News item from Commands list
- click the OK button
4. click the Close button on the Rearrange Commnads dialog
5. click the Close button on the Custommize dialog

The above procedure works for me and it should also work for others.
