Newsgroup showing my messages as comments when they are sent with the radio button on Question

I have sent two questions in the last couple of days and in Windows Mail
they are listed with the comments icon rather than the question icon.

When the messages are sent the radio button is checked for question. Is
anyone else getting the same problem or do you see my questions with the
question icon?

Thanks,

Nigel

What does this have to do with Outlook?

Hi Brian,

Thanks for reading my posting.

I was checking whether there was a problem with posting to this group to
ensure that my messenges where being seen correctly.

If my messeages are being seen correctly as questions then there is no need
for me to investigate any further.

Thanks,

Nigel

This is the wrong nerwsgroup for test messages. Microsoft offers
microsoft.public.test.here for that.

Hi Bill,

I'm not a newbie despite my sudden interest in this group - new to the
combination of Office 2007 and Vista from Office 2003 and XP.

I think that the other problems that I have been asking about may well be
connected to this question.

The last question I asked RE drag and drop appears to be marked as a
question - thank you for your help so far with that.

It is possible that clearing the index (part of an earlier question here)
may have been part of this. I was simply asking whether my posts had been
marked correctly.

Using the test group would not necessarily give the same results. As I had
already posted two questions I was simply asking whether the posts were
designated correctly or whether it was something wrong on my machine.

Thanks,

Nigel

There's no difference in your posts vs. any other. Newsgroups can't show
posts as anything but ordinary posts. SInce you're using WIndows Mail (the
newest incantation of Outlook Express), I don't think you have the ability
to mark your questions in any way at all.

Hi Brian,

Sorry about the name mix up Bill was helping me with another question.

"Newsgroups can't show posts as anything but ordinary posts."

FYI

The status of posts as "Comment", "Question", or "Suggestion" appears to be
something new and possibly confined to Windows Mail. When you create a new
post there are three radio buttons with these options so that you can label
the first post of a thread.

When viewing the newsgroup messages in Windows Mail each message has one of
three icons attached to show what type of post it is.

I'll head over to the windows vista mail newsgroup with this question.

Thanks for your help.

Perhaps the result of the additional headers Windows Mail adds, in
particular
