Newsgroup Message - The message could not be sent

Using Windows Mail I'm unable to send any newsgroup messages. Have email and
newsgroup accounts setup. Email sends and receives Ok. Newsgroup able to
receive, but if I try to send a message, I get the following:

"The message could not be sent.
No sender was specified. Please check your News Account Configuration."

What have you specified in the news server properties?
 
I have the following entered:

General Tab:
account name entered
User Info: my name and email address entered

Server Tab:
server name: nntp.charter.net (which is the newsgroup server for my ISP &
does not require a log on)

Anything in the log file?

Should be in the following folder...
C:\Users\{Windows User Account}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsMail\
 
Go to Tools, Options, Send, News Sending Format,
Plain Text Settings, select Uuencode rather than MIME.

Glad it worked out for you.
It seems that some NNTP servers can't handle the MIME format
that WM uses by default for news posts.
