I cannot find where to read newsgroup feature in Outlook 2003 like Outlook
2002. Can someone tell me how to get it out.

Thanks,

Ray

It's still Outlook Express but references to the newsreader often are
missing in Outlook 2003
See here for more info on restoring it;

I have followed the instructions, but I still don't have the News item to
add to the toolbar.....

Try this » right click the Oulook Express icon » select properties » add " /outnews" to the line "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" so that it now is "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /outnews » now when you click on the OE icon the OE news reader opens » Outlook does not need to be open then either.

You must add it manually. If it's not listed you can completely reset the
toolbar by renamijn outmd.dat to outcmd.old

Hi all,

I followed these instructions:-

The first time you use the newsreader, you must add the News command to the
Go menu.

1.. Add the News command to the Go menu.
How?

1.. On the Standard toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options
that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, click Customize on
the Tools menu, and then click the Toolbars tab.), click the Toolbar Options
arrow .
2.. Point to Add or Remove Buttons, and then click Customize.
3.. Click the Commands tab.
4.. In the Categories list, click Go.
5.. In the Commands list, click News, and drag it, without releasing the
mouse, until it rests over the Go menu. When the menu displays a list of
commands, point to where you want the command to appear, and then release
the mouse.
2.. Click the Go menu, and then click News.
I hope this helps

Sorry Roady,

I had just upgraded to Office 2003 (from Office XP) too eager to help at
this early stage :-)

Thanks

Matt U.K.

p.s

It looks great!

Nevermind the apology. I said it with a big wink ;-)

Good to hear you like it!
