Virgil & Linda

I would like to read the Newsgroups, but I have a problem.
There are many - many Newsgroups and I cannot tell what they are about.
For Example: This Newsgroup on my computer only shows.
Microsoft.public.Access

The Newsgroups following have just periods after the first three or four words.
Such as Microsoft.public.acc......

I have to Subscribe just to see what it is all about. How do I open all of the Newsgroups
to show me what they are without subscribing to each and everyone of them. That could be
hundreds of tries just to find the one or two that I would be interested in. Thank you

Are you reading the newsgroups using Windows Mail or Outlook Express? It
sounds to me like the window that is displaying the list of newsgroups has
the width of the Newsgroup column set too narrow. You should be able to
expand that by putting your mouse pointer over the divider line in the
column header, then clicking and dragging that line to the right, or
double-clicking it to autosize it to fit all visible rows.
