Greetings...

It was AVG 6!!
Even though I had it installed as only an on demand scanner, it still invaded my system.

Reinstalled TCPOptimizer, set it to hyper speed, and everything works fine... Nothing
crashes anymore, No more BSOD VTCP errors, I can install and uninstall to my heart's
content...

So it's AVG6 - the latest free version that's the culprit... Discovered this when I
restored the older registry, not just the day before's and AVG wasn't installed yet - went
to that speed gauge page, and noticed that my settings were not the default settings...
Reinstalled TCPOp and it stopped lying to me about the settings...

So TCPOptimizer is back on the recommended list, and AVG6 is in the Idontuseitware
category....

The roller coaster ride goes on!! Whaa Huh!

Well, I have never seen my name in the Subject Line before. LOL

Nice to know you figured out what was crashing your computer. You may
consider not using hyper speed setting but use optimal setting for cable.
Hyper is for T1 connections which I do not believe you have. [ If I am
wrong, I want your connection. lol ] Don't forget about DR. TCP for
easier fine adjustments.

In any case, your speed should be better.

Happy Holidays.
