Hello All...

As I continue to expand my knowledge and use of Outlook, I'm trying to use
the "NEWS" feature. Perhaps it is working fine. But...when I click on
NEWS, it opens up OUTLOOK EXPRESS. From what I can tell, this is supposed
to happen. But...isn't there a way to get NEWS/NEWSGROUPS to display within
OUTLOOK without opening up OUTLOOK EXPRESS?

Any help you can lend is greatly appreciated.

No, there isn't any way to do what you want. Outlook doesn't support NNTP
newsgroups; only Outlook Express does. The supposed explanation has to do
with IT managers not wanting to Microsoft to allow those darn time-wasting
newsgroups into Outlook.

No, Outlook is data management application, not a newsgroup reader, and uses
Outlook Express to access newsgroups. If you want to use the browser in
Outlook, you can access newsgroups via webpage that way.

Outlook Express IS Outlook's newsreader. However, those people whose back
end is an Exchange server may have newsgroups loaded in a Public Folder and
can read them that way.
