Hello,

I followed the instructions to add "News" to the "Go" menu item. The next
time I opened Outlook it was gone and now I can't find it anywhere (not even
in the add customize menu area)!

Thanks in advance for any help!

What version other than 2003 has this problem? When is Microsoft going to
fix it?

I'm assuming you're using version 2003. This is a known problem and
Microsoft has yet to issue a fix.

To get the newsreader up you need to run the following: msimn.exe /outnews

Start/Run, type it in and press Enter.

All versions have had this "problem," each with a different cause.
There is nothing to fix. There was a simple change made in how Outlook is
configured. Once you configure Outlook and the OS using the new convention,
the command returns.

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, click the "Don't ask me again" box and then click the No button.

Sorry about that - it's the new version ...Microsoft Outlook 2003.
