I have a Sapphire 9500 Pro
and the problem was about the wavy look the screen gets

heres how i fixed mine
is was the simplest thing
all i did to stop the waves was to unplug the TV out cable

If you're referring to the scrolling horizontal line problem,
I'm afraid it didn't work for me (I still get the faint lines).

Connect 3D Radeon 9500 PRO
18 inch TFT monitor (analog)
using either VGA or DVI-VGA adaptor
