OK - I have two XP Pro PC's and on 98SE PC connected
through a Linksys 802.11.B router...all work fine re:
Internet, email, etc. I have double-checked all the
sharing configs, etc and all seem to be intact; however,
sometimes, I can access on XP Pro machine from the other
and vice versa and sometims I can't...I get an error
message that either tells me the other PC is "not
accessible" or, when connecting to the mapped drive
through "My Computer", the message says "...an error
occurred while connecting...path not found". If I reboot
both machines, sometimes that helps...regarding trying to
network the 98SE machine, don't even get me started...the
XP Pro machines "see it", but I can't get to any of
it...anyway, all, thanks in advance for your help!!!

Bob:

I am having almost exactly the same problem. Please let
me know if you get an answer.

See my post to get the details of what I am experiencing,
if you would like.

Thanks..Jim B.

Jim B,
OK - I'm not a techie, but a commander in the PD in the
midwest...just so happens I'm in charge of our IT
Division at the moment...anyway, I ran this problem by
the department "techies" and they were about as stumped
as I was...not very comforting, but I haven't been able
to find a solution...please email me at
(e-mail address removed) if you find an answer to the problem...

Make sure that you are NOT trying to connect more that 10 PCs to the
XP Pro box at the same time. That is it's limit. 5 PCs for XP Home
and unlimited for 98SE.
