Newly installed IE7 prevented OE6 from accessing hotmail a/c

Have been using OE6 to access my hotmail a/c for years, ie, although I'm
using the 'free' hotmail a/c, I've been utilizing OE6 to read my emails
during the DAV support and as such, I could still read my 'free' hotmail...
that is, until an hour ago when I upgraded to IE7.

OE6 kept asking me to verify my hotmail a/c and password... although both
fields were set as default.

Has anyone any solution (short of downgrading to IE6 and see if my OE6 works
again?)? Appreciate it.

See if this helps:

"Authentication fails when you use Outlook or Outlook Express to try to log
on to a HTTP-based mail server if you use Internet Explorer version 7.0".
