Just built one with ASUS P4P800 MB. When I turned it on, a green light
indicating that the MB has power (or partial power?) comes on, but
nothing else; not fans, not even Power Supply fan. Only thing I can
think of is the Power Supply is bad. Or MB. But since there's no fan
on the PS...Any other thoughts?
Also, that green light can comes on, can indicate that it's in sleep
or soft-off mode. But could that be the case upon first boot up? And
even if it were, wouldn't the PS fan still come on? TIA!

It sounds like you have not really turned it on. The switch on the power
supply is turned on . That turns on the green light on the motherboard
only. There should be two pins sticking up on the motherboard that go to
the power switch on the case. Turn that on. Then the fans should start to
spin.

Thanks. I'll re-check the power switch (pwr sw) wire, but believe I
have that hooked up right. That was my first thought, too. With these
"new-fangled" computers, my limited experience has been they power on
when you plug them in. But I did also try the Power and Re-Set buttons
on the front of the case (no manual, or even single-sheet, of
instructions came with the case, an Aspire X-Dreamer II). Thanks for
the feedback.
