newest security update screwed my game up...

I just downloaded and installed the latest Windows Update stuff and when I
went back into a game that was working fine beforehand, it just gives an
outline and then stops responding. Is there some way to back track to
eliminate the windows update?

Go to Control Panel - "Programs and Features" - display installed updates and remove the one you think screwed up your game.
Or do a System Restore to yesterday.
