Would like to get this latest security patch, but the MS servers are
so busy, we can't get install the patch. So after 2 hours of trying,
we given up. You know, this is kind of frustrating Mr. Microsoft!

The server is just so busy, we can't even get the site. But we will
persist. Taken 3 hours to get a few machines updated. And so it
goes.

I just went to updates and got through immediately. Maybe, it's your ISP
that's bogged down?

I have the same problem WU usually performs at full speed. At present
it is very slow. No problem with other web sites.

Of all the messages in so far, I have to say I think JAX was right. You
know, MS has never been KO, not even by the concerted effort of
troublemakers at the height of the Blaster Worm pandemic. The resources of
MS is understandably massive. The current one is only a whimper by
comparison. You really need to look for reason of inaccessibility of the WU
site elsewhere.

For starters, http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/update.htm
and http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/
in particular, for Traxless, "Problems Reaching Windows Updates".

I am not having issues. Simply showed the OP where to get the admin
updates and a place to automate distribution to their other computers.

Hi Bee,

The only time I've seen WU take a nose dive was when SP1 was first released.

Cheers, JAX

Oh, no... I did not mean you were wrong! In fact, all of us should be
grateful that you minded us of alternative channels to try. Thanks.

My original post should really be directed to replying to Traxless; I
clicked the wrong post to reply to! :o) Also, my message was for all, after
reading John's.
