There's a beta version included with the Windows SP2 beta package, intended
for those with the computer skills to be involved in beta software. It's not
meant for general downloading/use and I don't recommend getting it.
But a beta means that a newer version is around a corner.

Sadly, it looks like a *very* minor update, which IMO should
have been released to the public months ago. I'd be interested
in your answers/opinions to the following questions.
Q1: When was MM2 originally released?
Q2: How many MM2 updates have been released since then?
Q3: Do you feel that the answers to Q1 & Q2 relect an
acceptable level of support from MSFT for MM2?

The beta version of MM2 was released 11/1/02. The final version was released
on 1/8/03.
A revised WMM2FXB.DLL file is dated 1/15/03 and was included in the download
package without a general notice. I don't know what the revision did. Then
the pass-through capture utility was released on 4/7/03.
In terms of updates, there are two kinds: added features and bug fixes. On
features, my personal preference is to leave MM2 as it is... an entry level
software package. But yes, bugs should be resolved quickly.
