newdot~3.dll and IE 6.0 can not find page

I am getting two errors. 1. When I restart my xp system it
shows RUNDLL error that it could not find NEWDOT~3.DLL 2.
When I start my IE browser it cound not find any page
error 404. WHen I use ping command from my DOS window it
worked.

Any help how to resovle this.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
