Newbie Sharing question

I was asked if I could make a spreadsheet for a simple daily inventory
which several people on the network in our office could work off of and
see an up to date inventory as others sell off of that inventory. Is
that feasable in Excell and if so, how? If not, what options do I have?

Take a look at Tools|Share workbook...

But before you do that, take a look at help for:
"features that are unavailable in shared workbooks"

You might find that so many features are disabled that you don't want to use it.

I am not certain where to find this. I did a Google and it gave me some
mixed and odd results. Would you be so kind as to direct me? Thank you.
 
Open excel.

On the menubar, there's a Tools item. Click on it and the dropdown list will
have a "Share Workbook" item.

click on it.

But do read about shared workbooks in excel's help. (F1 will start help.)
