I'm going to take some video of a wedding and reception this weekend.

Unfortunately I'm borrowing a camera that is not digital. It uses one
of those little tapes that you put into a regular sized VHS "holder"
to play in a VCR. I realize to convert it to digital (DVD) I need to
buy a capture card.

I've heard that ATI has a good reputation (by most). I need a card
that won't make me bankrupt but one that will afford the best
quality.

Could someone point me in the right direction, maybe even another
group?

Thank you.

You sure aren't going to get high quality cheaply. You can get
fairly good quality .. but a little small .. with a WinTV card for
around $60 I think. I guess you need to evaluate the camera
tape first. Is it all that good? If it is just OK, then the WinTV
will do just fine. Also, there's software that will let you capture
straight to mpg. Definately buy that.

Thank you johns. I'll visit the WinTV site to get mo info. I'll also
research the software.

I'm going to take the video tomorrow and see how good it comes out.
I've never use that camera before.
