Newbie question: Recordset

Newbie question recordset..
I am a brand new to using Access. I have one book and
have been looking through the newsgroup on my quest to
learn Access. I keep seeing people talk about recordset,
and I a hoping someone can give me and layman definition
and examples of what recordset is and how you use it?

Hi Newbie4.

A Recordset is like a query that only runs in code and is never shown to the
user. You use it when your VBA code needs to look up a value, aggregate some
data, search to see if something exists, etc.
