I have been grinding my way through the links you mentioned.

Why do we have to go through all this cr*p?

Man has landed on the moon and made nuclear bombs - why not come up with a
simple solution?

PapaJohn's link to 'Sample Video - MPEG-2 to WMV, via a DV-AVI File' does
not work.

When using VDubMod Filter/Resize it defaults to 720x576.

The saved avi file has no audio?

sorry, I don't maintain samples and other things specific to a
newsletter.... older material is removed to make way for the new
