Is each track on a CD one piece of music?

Are R/W music CDs erasable? If so, how do I do it?

What governs the silent interval between tracks when I burn with
Mediaplayer?

I assume I'm downloading MP3 files from file sharing services. What kind of
files does Mediaplayer convert those to before it burns them to CD?

How can I rename them once they're downloaded with my file sharing program?
What I want to do is simply put an index number prefix on the front of each
piece of music so I can groups them more easily.

1) Yes, each track on a CD would be a different "piece of music" or
different file.

2) Yes, Windows XP lets you earse CD's from within Windows Explorer. NOTE:
That only some Home CD Players can play CD-RW's Audio CD's

3) I think in WMP it's set too 2 seconds. If you use Nero Burning ROM you
can change this time interval. I dont know howto change it in WMP

4) WMP will convert MP3, WMA, and WAV's to Audio CD's

5) Right Click on the file a select rename.
(My MP3's look like 01 - Artist - Title)

Yes, you can use the software that came with your burner, such as InCD or
DirectCD.

You needs software that supports Disc-At-Once recording. Nero 6 or Feurio give
you greater control over the track gap length. You may as be able to do it with
the Nero Fast-Burning plug-in for WMP.

You can use apps such as The Godfather. http://users.otenet.gr/~jtcliper/tgf/
