Not sure if this is a word or printing question. Please forgive me if
I'm in the wrong place for an answer.:-))
I've made a MS Word document with tables (five columns) and #10 text
size for what I put in the tables, then saved the document. The printing
on my HP Laserjet 1000 makes a good copy of this.
Then I decided that a larger text might be easier to read on this data
sheet and went to change to a larger text size....#12. I selected the
text and changed it to 12.
Now the right side of the document can't be read in the print preview,
and when it prints, it cuts off that side. My margin widths are already
at .5, and that doesn't seem to be the solution to getting a print at
the larger text size anyway.
Can I do this????
When you make a document like this and save it, are you restricted to
the text size you chose at the beginning for printing, or is there some
way to allow the text size to be increased after saving it without
losing the sides if you print?
Many thanks for any help,

Hi Dudley

what have done (as i understand it) should work fine, but i have an idea.
Open your Word document
From the menu choose View / Toolbars / Table and Borders Toolbar - this will
display a new toolbar.
Now click inside your table, doesn't matter where
Now on the toolbar that you've just displayed you should see an icon (if
your new toolbar is floating & on two lines it's the first icon on the
second row - it's called Insert table icon and has a little black arrow to
the right of it - to get the names of the icons, move your mouse over them
without clicking). Once you've located the icon, click on the BLACK ARROW
to the right of it, now choose the icon that says AutoFit to Window. This
should (hopefully) resize your table to your margins.

now have a look at it in print preview - hopefully it will behave itself
now.

Let us know how you go.

Cheers

Thank you very much for the reply. I'm not all that great messing around
inside this program, but I'll give it a try and see if I can follow what
you have so kindly posted.
