Newbie needs help - USB and old computer

Question: can I install USB, inexpensively, in an old PII computer ? I
want to do this because I want to buy a new printer for my old
computer and almost every new printer on the market require a USB
port.

Can that be done ? My PII has two PCI slots left and it runs Windows
2000.

I say yes. So long as you have a free PCI slot, you can even get USB 2.0 on
your PC. A USB PCI card from SIIG or similar. Here is an example of one
