Please be patient with me i am really new to computers
and am not sure on what i am doing ...I thought that i
had a virus in the computer, it would automatically
restart ever time that i turn the computer off from the
start menu, I have run the NAV and am told that i have no
virus, so following advice that i have recieved on here i
have tried to do a system restore. And I am unable to
click on any dates for this month when i click to go back
to October nothing happens...
I was told to do this to stop the restart ......
...
"To stop computer restarting Right click My computer /
Advanced /
Startup & Recovery Settings, uncheck "Automatically
restart". You may
then see an error message when you close windows."

So i did,
So when i turned the computer off this is what i saw." A
problem has been detected and windows has been shut down
to prevent damage to your computer,
Driver_power_state_failure If this is the first time you
have seen this error screen, restart your computer, if
this screen apperars again follow these steps
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is
properlly installed. if this a new installation ask your
software or hardware manufacturer for any window updates
you might need, if this problem continues disable or
remove any newly installed hardware or sotfware. Disable
Bios, memory options such as caching or shadowing. if you
need to use safe mode to remove or disable components,
restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced
startup options, then select safe mode"
like i said i am really new to computers so this makes
no sence to me what so ever,I have no idea whatI am
supposed to do, Can someone please explain this to me in
beginner terms...
