Newbie, help with install

I have followed all the instructions as per the website, valiated my windows
etc. But every time I try and run the instalation wizard it says that it
cannot complete the instalation because it cannot validate windows. I have
tried to run the install when downloading and also saving to disk and then
installing to no avail. Am I missing a step or something.

Can you gº to Windows Update, select Express (Get high-priority updates),
and apply all offered updªtes
http://update.microsoft.com

Once that is finished, can you verify the update installs? There are many
pre-requisite files which are needed from windows update and signature update
with windows defender will fail until you hªve these f!les.

If you are running Windows 2000, you will need to run a Custom Scan, instead
of the express scan, and in addition to all the offered critical updates,
add the Root Certificates update from the optional category.
