Hi,
Using DSL connection w/Router, Win2k Pro, 1ghz cpu, 256mg machine to
connect to Win2k Server via Remote desktop connection. This used to
work just fine, but I stopped doing this for a month or so and now
when I try to connect I get a few seconds of nothing, then the
following error-
"The connection to the remote computer was broken. This may have been
caused by a network error."
This has happened 18 out of the 20 times I have tried over the past
few weeks. The inconsistency is really bothering me, I used to be
able to connect to this machine, and now I actually did it twice.
Is there any setting I need to double check on my machine, or the
server I am trying to connect to? I know my friend who has the server
can use Remote desktop from another machine on his network, so in
theory things are fine from the server side.
Thanks!
p.s.-I am unable to access the web site hosted on the server, my
browser seems to hang forever while trying to open the pages. I know
the site works and all my friends can access it.
